It just drives me nuts when people who have probably never stepped foot in my city feel they have a right to comment on things they have no knowledge of. No understanding about the kind of peope who came into town with the predetermined goal of rioting win or lose, no understanding of the geography of Vancouver or the fact that the mass majoritiy of people (fans or not) were not participating in a riot but could do nothing to stop it because there wasnt enough police (cough*Gregor*cough) present to support anyone standing up to the morons … and certainly no idea of where Lucic’s church is located and the social issues of the area (yes I’m pointing out that it is in East Van …sue me) that might just have played a part in this kind of vandalism.

First of all, you have absolutely zero context on what this jackass’ (totally not defending the wank) original offense was or how the Judicial System dealt with him. Secondly, please tell me you’re not seriously trying to paint Vancouver as the only city in North America where the justice system is backlogged, overworked, and underfunded. You do realize this has absolutely nothing to do with the Vancouver Canucks hockey club or its fans right?

It would take about 15 minutes on Google to find news articles about ridiculous and offensive behaviour both by the citizens and the Judicial System of any major American city … obviously including your precious Boston.

Uh…no. 16 months is unequivocally NOT a rather long sentence for this kind of vandalism. Maybe if we don’t let these punks off with a slap on the wrist then they or others will actually learn something for once.
