As a Flyers fan, I loved the guy. I knew he probably wasn’t ever going to be any better than he was last year, and was very glad Holmgren didn’t overpay for him last summer, but he was fun to have around and I hope he turns it around.

I also loved Leino when he was on the Flyers. I feel that much of the animosity comes from when he said that Buffalo ‘deserved’ to win the series in the playoffs last year. Sorry Ville, I dont care what your stance with the team is,you dont dog your team like that.

As a Flyers fan, it’s unfortunate to see Ville Leino struggling like this now. I don’t hold anything against him for taking the big deal, but I’m also surprised he’s struggled as much as he has.

There’s a lot of Leino hate right now in the Flyers world, which also perplexes me. He played well for the Flyers. He was never my absolute favorite player, but we all seemed to like him fine when he was here.
