You a It may not be actually think this is credible? What do I care what a bookie thinks? It may not be FLA, but, unless Howson is a complete idiot, it will be a team with comparable assets. Of the teams on that list, Boston could put together a package around Seguin and Rask, but they won’t. LA could offer Bernier, but no other star quality assets. Same with VAN and Schneider and PHI and Bobrovsky. If STL wanted in, they could offer one of their goalies, Schwartz, and some other assets.

My guess: the bookies are Ranger fans. Otherwise it makes no sense. If Howson deals Nash and does NOT get back an elite F prospect and an elite G prospect (ie Huberdeau and Markstrom on FLA) as part of the deal, he is as big a boob as everyone says he is.

If Elliotte Friedman is correct (and he usually is), this will be done in the offseason–probably at the draft–and Howson hopefully will bring back the cornerstone prospects his franchise needs along with presumably Yakupov, Johansen, Moore, Brassard et al to build a champion or at least a contender.

Oh please, oh please, oh PLEASE not the Leafs! It might sound silly but I’m surprised neither Nash nor Columbus have mentioned the Wild. The Wild are pretty well stocked with prospects and Harding is ready to be a starter or a 1a goalie, plus the Wild are in desperate need of another top 6 player. Setoguchi needs to move down to 2nd line. Heatley, Koivu, Nash? Yes please.
