I was a HBT fan before we got a Canadian (or two). So I was a HBT fan until Mike and Jason came, then I switched to PHT. So a person could like two blogs. Am I right about that?

I grew up in tb. we had no team,so I was a pit fan.here in fla before we got a team they would only show 3 teams on tv det,chi,pit. So I was a pit fan until the bolts came,then I switched. So a person could like two teams,anyway a real fan likes all hockey no matter who is playing. A real fan would have a hockey name not baseball. Am I right about that?

I grew up in Denver without hockey, but raised by a family of Bruins fans (Mom’s side came from New Hampshire). So as a fan I supported the Bruins from afar. When Colorado got the Avs, I had a team to watch night in and night out- and that only played Boston once or twice a year. Best of both worlds (though I admit when they two play, I prefer a Bruins win).

Amusingly, I don’t live in either city now- I’m in Capitals country, and find the more baffling and anti-climactic than almost any other team I can remember seeing in the past 20-odd years.

If CLB trades with the NYR, it will confirm in my mind what everyone has been saying about Howson et al–that the CLB management is hopelessly inept. NYR do not have the kind of prospects and certainly not the kind of elite goalie CLB needs. A trade with NYR would be a horrendous mistake on the part of CLB. For the sake of CLB fans, I hope that is not where he goes.

Philly may be where Nash wants to go, but its hard to see them beating an offer from STL or FLA from CLB’s POV.

If you think a mid-midlate 1st round pick is even close to the value that Nash will bring, you have another thing coming… You will be kissing one or a few of your so called home runs goodbye with the first round pick

I doubt Nash would ok a move to the Preds though. The Preds would have to move Lindback as the first part of the deal, not a big issue, but what else do they have to give up? Would Columbus ask for Ryan Ellis along with Lindback and call it enough?

If they’re getting Nash, they will almost for sure not be able to keep both Weber and Suter in their cap structure. Columbus is certainly hoping to get several pieces back for Nash, including a goalie, prospects and picks, so a one for one (or one for two) deal may not be what they want.

it would be kinda interesting to see how good nashville could be if they got nash. They are already a sleeper pick for the cup thanks to rinne, suter, and weber. Also, picking up nash could be the move that convinces suter to resign

I kind of hope it’s a Ray Bourque- type of situation where everyone is watching the obvious teams, then suddenly he signs somewhere no one expected (Bourque, for those who don’t remember, was supposed to go to Philly or Detroit, and suddenly was putting on an Avs sweater one night). Everyone thinks Nash is going to Philly, or New York- wouldn’t it be fun if he ended up somewhere totally different like Florida or Dallas, and throw the whole hockey world on its head for a few days?

(I say this because I know neither the Bruins or Avs, my two teams, are going to get him, so why not have fun with this?)

I say a first rounder, Bobrovsky, and Schenn.

As a Penguins fan, this trade would scare the crap out of me. Giroux centering a line of Nash and possibly Jagr/Hartnell is some scary stuff. Reminds me when the Pens used to be able to through up Malkin/Crosby/Hossa or even back to some of the 91/92 Lemieux lines.

who or what is philly going to give up? they have some great rookies playing well, philly could afford a 1st round pick at this point, they hit homeruns with schenn, read, couterier…sounds like philly makes the most sense for columbus’s benefit in their future rebuilding effort. jagr might be gone, nash would go right to first line duty with giroux…scary for us pens fans for sure
