Only way they can win is if they win a Cup. Which to be fair, is the case for most players of their caliber. Eg. Ovi, Thornton, Luongo

The Twins are in a no win situation. If they ignore guys who go after them, then they’re called out for being scared. If they give whoever is giving it to them a shot back, they get chewed out for getting distracted and losing focus.

The bottom line is that the Sedins are both excellent players and terrific citizens … and that’s the sole reason why they’re on the receiving end of so many jokes and teasing. I enjoy poking fun at them (ie: sisters and such) just as much as the next guy, yet even I know that only a fool could be blind to their skill and decency. I can also say that as one who lived and worked in Sweden many years ago, these guys are so Swedish it’s not even funny ! Swedes by and large, are probably one of the most decent people of all … and their society is one of the most advanced, compassionate and forward-thinking that you could find anywhere. My only knock on them is that they’re a little too “robotic” with their day to day affairs and I feel that the Swedish women are completely over-rated … apart from that, they’re very good people !

Except that TT didn’t hide behind anything. He stood up and said what he believed in, and everyone knows he said it. Now if he posted anonymously on a hockey blog and said “OBAMA SUCKS LOL” that would be different.

Much as I think they lack the grit they need to succeed when the pressure’s on, the man’s got a point. Especially in a poll where you’re talking about something like “Who’s the easiest to intimidate?” or, in other words, “Who scares easily?” -man, watch out, we’ve got some real badasses hiding behind THIS anonymity guarantee, don’t we? If your face and your name aren’t out there when you’re calling out other players for being easily intimidated, you’re a merry hypocrite.

What with people still calling them sisters, despite their durability and obvious offensive talent, it’s not surprising to them that someone might say they’re easy to intimidate. They don’t have to believe it, but they aren’t surprised people would say it.
