Could not have happened to a better organization, fan base, and province. You can keep throwing your 24 Cups in our face, but you will be a nostalgic team for years to come unless you bring in people you care about the talent first. Imagine Blake, Bowman, and Pollack dealing with this BS that’s been happening since the ’70s. Mark this down, we will be talking about futility of Cup victories for the Habs that will rival the Leafs if this “french” first criteria isn’t changed. Top players not only hate the taxes, but they hate the atmosphere. It’s a real shame, I sat with my dad at the old Forum for 15yrs, and watched french & english players care about only hockey. Blame should be squarely placed on the French Media, who ignites this language issue. I pray that the Habs don’t end up like the Maroons.

I don’t know what was said, of course, but… Gomez shouldn’t be surprised that his coaches are a little fed up with his crap. That lone goal of yours is costing them something like $7 million in cap money- if you want people to stop harassing you, perform like you’re an NHL-level talent. Or at least put in some effort.
