The Blues are first in the NHL with the lowest shots against per game. That also helps our goaltenders get shutouts. Hitchcock was the best thing that happened to Halak & Elliott.

I will never forget Johnsons glory years for St. Loo as he sits behind Flower in 2012. He is appreciated here in Pittsburgh, but hes not what he once was in the early part of the millenium for St. Louis no doubt about it.

Joseph played in the “everybody scored 30+ goals” days. I’m curious to see if the shutout numbers were drastically different then (80s-mid 90s)

My mind… eez blown.

I don’t know if this says more about Halak kicking ass, or St. Louis just not having a history of top-flight talent in net. Probably more of column ‘A’ than ‘B’, I admit.
