Thats just the thing, he elbowed him in the stomach/midsection area. Meaning Fedotenko’s stick wasn’t inbetween Moores elbow and his own head, as you believe. Instead, it is the chain reaction of Fedotenko skating with his hands and stick at midsection level, causing his stick to hit him in the face because the point of contact was below the hands, giving nowhere for the stick to go but up. I think it’s partially Fedotenkos fault because from the earliest levels of hockey we are taught to keep our stick on the ice, he didn’t, and he paid for it.

Doesn’t Moore chicken wing Fedotenko? Isn’t that clear? Who cares if Fedotenko’s stick gets between Moore’s elbow and his own head?

lets not get out of hand and start handing out suspensions when Shanahan clearly shows that no direct contact was made from Moore to Fedotenko’s face.
Just unlucky on both sides, I hope the best for Fedotenko and that he makes a full recovery.

IDK. Okay, he doesn’t INTENTIONALLY hit him in the head. But it seems like Moore’s intent IS a high hit as he follows through with bringing the shoulder up on an unsuspecting victim. THAT DOES deserve a suspension as it isn’t the first time.
