Rangers edge Lightning as New York Giants look on

Feb 10, 2012, 1:30 AM EST

The recently-crowned Super Bowl champions were on hand at Madison Square Garden Thursday night to watch another local team that some could call Big Blue, the New York Rangers:

Much like the New York Giants, the Rangers had a sense of the moment by scoring a dramatic game-winning goal, as Atrem Anisimov played Eli Manning while Brad Richards finished like Mario Manningham for the 4-3 overtime game-winner.

That was far from the only highlight-reel moment, however, as Steven Stamkos scored a beauty to start things off and Derek Stepan produced a wonderful spin-o-rama. With that in mind, enjoy the full highlights:

If they were supporting another local team, shouldn’t they have been at a Devils game since they both play in the Meadowlands?

Uh, the Devils haven’t played in the Meadowlands for years. But hey, at least you got the state right.

That’s right. They moved from the Swamp to the Hood!
