He made contact while skating by Kaleta, but to call it a “cross check to the head” is just ignorant.

If you watch the video, Thornton is already on the ice when Weber decides to hit Pouliot without the puck (is that “cheap shot” by your standards?), then they drop the gloves.

On a separate note, I love that Lucic destroys Kaleta in the fight, then Kaleta proceeds to whoop it up and try to pump up the crowd in the penalty box. Kaleta, sit down, you just got rolled over.

A: Half that Boston squad needs to be suspended for the crap they pulled, but you know Shanahan won’t do anything BECAUSE it’s Boston.

B: Milbury’s an idiot. He spent 3 hours making comments both biased and just plain, well, incorrect. That they haven’t fired this guy yet is just a wonder.

Milbury was awful on the broadcast last night. His mother must not have liked him… I admit I never really cared for his less than objective perspective on the game. But he was so biased… even to a neutral fan… I just didn’t care for it. I think Doc was hesitating on calling the game following several of Milbury’s stupid rants.

Well, for starters by observing that professional referees MIGHT just have a slightly more objective version of events than the one put forward by a guy who I didn’t realize was capable of making a post about the Bruins without using the words “cheap-shot” and/or “sucker-punching” until right now. Seriously, my question isn’t so much “How’re they gonna spin it?” as it is “Why on Earth should anyone believe you’re *not?*”
