No I dont read many of them because nothing changes. People call the Bruins "cheap" and then Bruins fans respond with disagreeing and saying they're the ones with the cup last year. I agree you have every right to flaunt last year until a new team gets crowned. But I hear responses of yours all the time. Everytime I talk smack about football I hear in retaliation "4 superbowl losses, huh?" So like I said, enough about the past just move on cuz your upset with the outcome of the game. Fact is, your team got shutout by 14th place. Buffalo will take this day and you will have chances for redemption. Untill then keep your mouth shut.

No, no, you've got it wrong - he wasn't trying to teach Weise about tough guy etiquette, he was trying to trick him into a fight when Weise was actually talking with McQuaid, not Thornton.

It might have been a legal line change but he for sure only had one thing in mind coming off the bench.

That's a good point, maybe the Bruins should aim for the 4th/5th matchup in the first round, just in case any of those teams they can't beat finds their way into the 8th spot. It sure looks like they're trying to based on last night's effort, but if they really want to do so, they'll have to be much worse considering they play most of their games against Toronto, Ottawa, Buffalo and Montreal.

The NHL Board of Governors took an informal vote on whether to suspend Chara. The results were split in 3 almost equal parts: suspension, no suspension and not sure.

In the end, the Chairman broke the deadlock and ruled that his own player wouldn't be suspended.

Bettman then smiled and nodded and cashed his $7 million contract extension.

Do seriously believe that Colin Campbell didn't exert any influence over decisions involving the Bruins? Do you believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny as well?

He had one assistant, Mike Murphy who made a fool of himself in last years PO by consulting Brian Burke on the Rome suspension (This was after Colie graciously stepped down prio to the finals to "remove any perception of favoritism").

Campbell and Murphy worked together for years and handed down rulings on every team in the league. They are friends. They ate together, drank together, golfed together, went to peeler bars together. And you think Murphy had complete autonomy when ruling on the Bruins? Seriously?

Mike Murphy is a "Yes Man", and an incompetent one to boot. Thats why Colie hired him. How else do you explain the multiple incidents involving the Bruins without suspensions? Do you believe the NHL should have the Head of Discipline making desicions that could effect the outcome of games and team standings, while having a son playing on one of the teams? I don't.

@drew: obviously there's some sarcasm there, but Chara's hit was interference (surprisingly not a felony outside of Quebec) and that hit on Zednick is one of the most gutless plays I've ever seen.
@dropthepuckeh,

Nice critique and I will agree on some points.

However, I certainly do believe the Bruins get away with much more than any other team. Chara on Max, No suspension. Ference on Halpern, No suspension. Ference flips the bird, No suspension. Horton sucker punch on Moore, No suspension. Lucic runs Miller, No suspension. Shall I go on.....?

And Campbell's' distaste for Savard was before Greg's arrival in Boston, and quite possibly before Savards' arrival as well. And lets be clear, to have the head of discipline dishing out suspensions and fines while having a son playing in the league wouldn't be tolerated in any other sport in North America.

The Cooke hit on Savard was definitely a cheap shot and worthy of suspension. However, Colie couldn't suspend him. Why? Because the exact same check happened two weeks earlier when Mike Richards destroyed David Booth. Richards got zero games. So a "cheap shot" is a "cheap shot" regardless of who is delivering it.There is a difference between tough clean hockey, and what we have seen from the Bruins over the past couple years.

Without a doubt move on brother! 82 games makes a regular season and teams lose a bunch....have to love how many beat downs got issued tonight though right?
Habsman it is time to move on from the "sucker punch" and "Coli Campbell (Greg's Dad)" story line. Your material is stale, your attitude pathetic and your effort lame. Surely you can't believe the Bruins are guilty of anymore sucker punches than your beloved Habs? To the contrary I pretty sure that most would agree that Bruins fight when fighting is called for; one might argue too much, but certainly not "sucker punchers." Look at the turtles in Montreal, Mon Dieu!! Alert the authorities and call 911 but when push comes to shove, to a man, Marchand and Lucic and whomever else has been regarded as having taken a liberty, have dropped the gloves when asked. They understand the code and while they play on the edge, they get it and answer.

As for the Campbell Dad reference....we are all very happy that your knowledge of hockey includes a former disciplinarian of the NHL and his son who now plays on the Bruins but do you also know that he isn't still in that position right? You also understand that he was actually quite outspoken at one point about his distaste for Marc Savard (a Bruin) while in his disciplinarian position (ironically). Unfortunately, Savard is no longer with the Bruins and probably will never play again due to what I assume, even you, a single-minded frustrated angry child would agree was a "cowardly cheap shot" as you like to spew.

So do us all a favor and move forward in your commentary as you are clearly passionate and interested in hockey. It is too bad your participation mirrors that of your beloved bleu blanc rouge: irrelevant, obnoxious, and having no impact of the NHL of 2012......

Look at it like this. You've outed me as a Pat's fan, and I've just outed you as having three names on this blog. The first step is admitting.
