It just gives them more scoring depth than having their three best forwards.on one line would.

This won’t be a problem when he’s playing with Nash or Kessel and Lupul are centered by Getzlaf.

I assume it’s a matter of him being a more two-way guy and better-employed in a Kesler-esque role than an offense-only one, but that’s more a guess than anything.
