Carter is the biggest joke in the NHL. The only reason he put up good numbers in Philly was because of his line mates. Most of his goals were pure luck, sitting in front of the net, and any shot he took usually went high and wide. His attitude is atrocious, and any team who takes him is stupid. Sorry Columbus! You got robbed…but you can have Voracek back

Completely untradeable and these articles trying to sell the idea that he might get traded are ignorant and should be embarrassing. A better article would be “how stupid of a GM would have to be to trade for Jeff Carter?”

It makes me think that the writer does not understand or has a child-like understanding of hockey.

Oh and Carter has a history of injuries.

Carts, as a longtime diehard Flyers fan I have seen this organization screw guys over left and right i have heard stories from a one time next door neighbor of mine growin up in avalon former flyer named Tim Kerr and how much of ass bobby clarke is and so on.. however when you were traded i was deeply dissapointed but ive been around a few parties in which you and richie were having a blast in Sea Isle, and when i heard about you guys blowing enuff coke up ur nose that woulda made tony montana proud, i knew the writing was on the wall for both of you sooner or later i was hopin sooner youd snap out of it and grow up..theres no harm in partyin now and again but your a professional hockey player, act like one! Im pullin for u but ur making holmgren look like einstein.. get your head out of ur ass and just do what u do best play hockey score goals and stick it out in CBJ and show their fans the phenomenal player we flyers fans know u to be..

Couldn’t agree more. Cartsey would put together a stretch of games where his stick could carry the team, then come up dry when you really needed him. He’s a non-factor in the playoffs, shrinking to most challenges, and has had a lot of injuries that make depending on him very hard. Homer flat out robbed the Blue Jackets!

No way, Paul Holmgren knew what he was doing. Jeff Carter was a slouch on the Flyers and anyone who watched multiple games knew it. He didnt even look like he wanted to play when he was in philly. I would love to hug Paul for getting rid of him and picking up Ginger Beard Voracek and Couturier.

If he was so upset with being traded out of Philly why not let that motivate him to prove Philly wrong. Go out and play unbelievable hockey so that Philly regrets trading him.

Instead he has sulked around and played lazy. He is guaranteed millions over the next 10 years. What a disgrace to the NHL. Its reasons like this that make guaranteed contracts a bad idea.

To give up Jakub Vorecek and a draft pick which ended up being Sean Couturier for this bum is a tragedy. Next time CBJ should do some research and make sure the guy with an 11 year contract isn’t a cry baby who gets his feelings hurt if he is traded.
