Don’t look now, but Tampa has its stride back. Marty and Vinny also have their magic working again. The power play has finally stopped playing like its tail is tucked between its legs, and they’re winning big games. Very good to see their focus change since late January. Just keep Gilroy off the ice and I see good things. (yet another goal caused by Gilroy’s lack of awareness on the ice)

Oh yeah, and props to Stamkos for giving away the empty net goal when he could have easily gone up by another goal, in his quest toward the Rocket Richard trophy. Ultimate respect for one of the games legends.

Marty is one of the most amazing players I have ever had the pleasure of watching. He has never let any of the adversity he faces on a daily basis be an excuse and he continues to be the Lightnings most consistent player, at the age of 36. His statue will be standing next to Espo outside our stadium whenever he finally decides to hang up the skates, and I’m so glad I was able to be at the Tampa Bay Times Forum tonight to witness this great player work his magic.
