The major flaw with your statement is that Ottawa has played 5 more games than Boston. Yeah, you read that correctly 5 games. Since the NHL runs on a point system these kind of things usually go unnoticed. Just because they would have only been 2 points back doesn’t mean they were remotely close to the Bruins. Now they are really far back.

By the way, last night was a big come from behind win. If the Sens hold on, they are only two points back of the B’s for the division lead. As it stands, they are now 6 back. When the dust clears in April, if the Bruins have one of the top seeds, last night’s game will be one of the reasons why. Ottawa has to know they had a big opportunity on enemy ice last night…

I love the B’s and Thomas, even liked Schilling while he was a player. I don’t think there should be any repercussions, but I do not think one should shy away from using the spotlight for political or religious purposes.

The Champions are invited to the Whitehouse every year, could be Reagan or W, could be Clinton or Obama. The president should be respected as the president regardless of ideology, and champions should accept the invitation.

Thomas and the Bruins have done more for me than any president has in quite some time. I’ll trade a trip to the White House for a trip to meet and greet the Bruins any day of the week.

I stood up and gave Thomas a standing ovation which I never do for introductions. I did this because I support Thomas for standing up for what he believes in not because of anything Hockey related. And my sense was that was why most of the crowd reacted the way they did. For the record.
