To be fair, as someone from north of the border, no one really hates Pittsburgh for the winning, it’s for abandoning the team within 5 years of back to back cups because Mario retired, and then coming back and acting like you’re diehard fans for life. The winning doesn’t really come up when people discuss why they hate Pittsburgh fans.

I’m sure Toronto has its fair share of annoying fans, but you can go to their games without a problem since no one who can afford to go is actually a fan …

And I wouldn’t necessarily consider him as being from Philly, I’d say he’s from Regina where he was born and raised.. If you want to take that route, you could also consider him from Nashville, or any other city he has ever played hockey for in his life.

defensemen shouldn’t even go to the all star game. They don’t play any D. It’s all about goalies and forwards. Saying suck it to Phaneuf, while funny, isn’t fair cause the guy isn’t even trying out there. He’s just a body skating slowly backwards. That’s not even adult league D.

I think he was being feisty. He donated to charity for falling down, and laughed about it throughout the game. He obviously doesn’t think anyone should take it too seriously.

Maybe the bodychecks were unnecessary. I don’t think Chara was impressed by those when he was asked at the press conference. To his credit, Chara had no inclination to wind up for a big slapper even though the crowd was practically begging him to. It’s just a fun game, until the last 5-10 when the guys show that they don’t like to lose anything.
