– Chara has two Boston teammates (Thomas, Tyler Seguin) and two Slovakian Olympic teammates (Hossa, Marian Gaborik) in the draft pool. Chara and Hossa were also former teammates in Ottawa.

Also, I’m pretty sure taking one of the NHL’s leading scorers at the top of the draft can be construed as “loading up.”

it all comes down to how many pens players is on the team. team chara has 1 – geno malkin while team alfie has 2 – letang and neal which of course mkes them better

Chara picking hossa wasnt “loading up”. They are countrymen and best friends, akin to alfie drafting swedes. Of course, if the author was knowledgeable about hockey, or paid more attention to the draft, he would have known this.
