Ovechkin is enjoying some fun in the sun

Jan 27, 2012, 1:00 PM EDT

Before the All-Star Game roster was announced, Alex Ovechkin said he’d go on vacation if he wasn’t chosen. Then he was chosen. Then he was suspended. Then he said he wasn’t going to Ottawa because he was suspended. So now he’s on vacation in Florida, as website Alex Ovetjkin reports.

No angle here. I’d go somewhere warm if I could, too. Might not wear camo shorts though.

PS — Kids are still doing the flat-brimmed hat thing?

    Must be nice.

Im wondering why the camera person has everyone to the left and not center. Must be to put emphasis on the open spot to the right where a chick in a bikini should be I guess.

Yetty, try clicking the picture to see that hot chick your talking about.

The only thing worse than a pasty white guy on the beach…is four pasty white guys on the beach.

    • wethog66 - Jan 27, 2012 at 3:46 PM

Unless you are like one of those fools on the Jersey Shore, who in NA isn’t pasty white this time of year?

If your going to be in Florida on the beach at least you could get a girl in the picture. Too much of a sausage fest.

Constantly trying to match Sid…. its sad really. Poor mediocre 8.

    • wethog66 - Jan 27, 2012 at 3:46 PM

OV has given himself a concussion to be like Sid? When?

      • letangshair - Jan 27, 2012 at 4:26 PM

he sure hasn’t given himself a cup.

      • orpikseyes - Jan 27, 2012 at 5:05 PM

        nor a gold metal.

      • wethog66 - Jan 27, 2012 at 11:22 PM

Considering OV doesn’t have a rotten melon like poor Sid I like his chances to catch up in the Cup/Gold Medal department. :P

He’s been having trouble scoring in Washington so maybe he figured he’d try to score a few in Miami.

      But, with other boys?:)

  8. marzalmighty - Jan 27, 2012 at 3:03 PM

Ovi has tiny little nipples. Just an observation.

    • nhlbruins90 - Jan 27, 2012 at 11:42 PM

You know what they say – tiny nipples, large … I’ll leave it at that.

    Ovi looks out of shape!

    • vshehane - Jan 27, 2012 at 4:57 PM

As a female, I have to disagree.

I’m not a huge Caps fan, think Ovie is a great player, but most of all, think it was an A1 class move for him not to go to the AS game. Logically, if he can’t play due to suspension, then he shouldn’t play in any NHL event . Again, it’s not for any disliking of the guy. I personally think he took a very good approach to this whole thing. They don’t let me play, I don’t play until my suspension is over. Have fun Ovie.

Back in the day, when Rod Brindamore was a Flyer, the media guide used to say that his physique was, “Chiseled from stone”. OV kinda looks like he was chiselled from marshmellow to the shape of a 45yr old man.
