Boyle’s an idea. Bickel and Eminger, they come to mind. Edge Ballard out of the roster at long, long last, open him up for a trade elsewhere for an offensive player or something. But that might be underpaying for Raymond a little. Maybe. He’s kinda dicey, to be honest. Reliable defensively, but offensively… well, he’s pretty soft. At his best, he’s solid on the offense, but it seems like he’s too prone to floating around the edges.

True, but he can play alongside tougher, grittier forwards and act as offensive catalyst. Using his speed and shiftiness to open up the ice while his linemates muck it up along the boards.

Raymond is always muscled off the puck, and the play usually dies once he touches it.

If Raymond goes it’s either for a dman or toughness up front. What about Boyle or Prust out of NYR, or Burish out of Dallas (if he can bury the hatchet with 8 or 9 of the Canucks first).

He’s outperforming Kulemin at this point (in PPG), but then they’re saying he’s having a bad year too, maybe a straight swap?
