Couturier AND Schenn for a guy who may just walk? Doubt it.. More likely one of either Schenn or JVR and a pick or two…but in some crazy world if that’s what Nash would ask for? I’d be fine with Holmgren saying no thanks

One or the other. Id really hope it was just JVR. As a flyers fan he’s been a real let down and Coutruier and Schenn are so much more promising. But to get someone as solido n the blue line as Suter, over a rookie we have to play now, that’d be ideal.

Nashville is over its head and that is the truth. Suter wants to play for a great hockey team, tradition and town like Philadelphia and its Flyers. The Preds will get decent talent and draft picks for Suter and then they can sign Webber. SUTER IS GONE!!!! He is not going to sign here and that is ok.
They will not get any stars in this trade. they will get a good draft pick(s) and a decent player in return.

It’s baffling to me that Nashville haven’t got Suter and Weber tied down yet. After Rinne got done these guys should have been swimming in cash within days.

I know the Flyers need a d-man to contend for a cup this year.. But I’m almost willing to go into the playoffs with what we have and figure it all out in free agency in the offseason. I’m not ready to give up on JVR and Schenn is just getting started and looks better each game. If we have to part with one, though, it’d have to

Why not trade him to the Eastern Conference to a team like Philly who could give up one of their young forwards. That would allow Nashville to get a cheap alternative that can still help them win now and fills Philly’s void for a top blue liner.
