Can the Habs get through to P.K. Subban?

Jan 26, 2012, 8:00 AM EDT

Let’s face it, most post-game interviews lack much sizzle. You can’t totally blame players, really, because it’s probably difficult to be fascinating and articulate after an exhausting game of hockey.

Every now and then, there’s an athlete who gives a candid and interesting interview, though. Erik Cole did just that after the Montreal Canadiens shocked the Detroit Red Wings 7-2. Check out his very frank (and mostly encouraging) comments about teammate P.K. Subban in the video below:

Speaking of sending messages, will Subban respond to getting benched during last night’s game?

Subban deserved the benching. The elbowing penalty he took in the 1st was so stupid and selfish. Not sure if he learned from it, but he had better start learning. The team’s patience is running out.

Nope, PK is a wasted of a talent who thinks he knows everything already and thinks he is better than his teammates in Montreal. If Montreal wants to savage him long term, they don’t bench him (again, didn’t work the 1st time), they out-right send him to the AHL for a few months to smarten him up.

Trade him to Boston. That should take care of it.

The Bruins would never take a diving, overrrated, self centered, weak link coward like Subban.
Leave him in Montrael and do the Bruins a favor.

Well, I would take him over Joe Corvo. He has a lot of talent and just needs to grow up. Maybe he wouldn’t act like that if he had mentors like Chara and Seidenberg.

No matter who your favorite team is, it’s refreshing to listen to a professional athlete that is humble and well spoken. Young Mr. Subban would do well to listen.
