Such a load of crap. The Canucks are no worse that 3/4 of the teams out there. It’s great that they’re trying to tone it down. I wish more teams would do the same. But of course, the haters and people in the media are just going to twist this around and hold it up as if it’s some sort of a confirmation that the Canucks are this horrible/hated team in this way.

The rematch game with Boston seemed like more of the same to me. 6 guys jump Thornton after Burrows slashes (near) Thornton’s neck (no idea how Van got a power play out of that one). Wiess agrees to fight then bails attempting to draw a penalty, luckily the ref had been listening to him properly gave them both penalties. Lucic get’s tossed for a questionable reason, properly rescinded by the league. And Marchand earned his 5 game pay loss.

I hope Van can be more like Detroit. And I hope Boston can clean up this dirty play back into skilled and gritty. I’m not expecting any changes from either, but it would be nice.

If van the team/organization is honest about that then great….I hated their bs in the past and I am of the mindset that if you want the winning tradition and respect that Det has had for decades you do need to do the little things right and take the highs with the lows as professionals. That often starts with coaches and captains….both of which Det has had some of the best.

I hope there’s some truth to this. Gonna be tough with d-bags like Burrows and Lapierre on your roster though. I utterly hate Detroit with every freakin inch of my body. Completely despise them. But I do absolutely respect them and how that franchise goes about things. I can’t say the same for Vancouver however, but hopefully that can someday change and perhaps I can revisit the idea of maybe trying to find some respect for that franchise.

I’m hoping for a rematch with a little more respectable play from both sides. At their best they can both play a skill game the equal of the Red Wings, but idiots like Burrows, Lapierre and Marchand marred that at every opportunity. Let’s hope they focus on playing hockey instead of trying to audition for a soap opera this year.

Yeah I am not seeing it.
Seems like the same team to me as the past couple years.
But i hope they do make an effort to play honest. I can forgive a hard nose hit that might be a little questionable more then flopping and baiting your way to calls.
