So if you were starting a team you would rather have Al Montoya, J.S Giguere, Johan Hedberg, Jonas Gustavsson, etc. then Ryan Miller?

Mike Smith came out of nowhere. Got sent down to minors and came back on his best game ever. That hasn’t stopped since post All-Star 2011 and through the playoffs.

Once you get outside your cream of the crop its really anyones guess. After about the top5 or so the gap really isn’t that big between like 6 and 12.

Do think its a little weird neither of Chicago’s goaltenders is top30 worthy.

Marty Biron has been playing some of his best in years, Craig Anderson deserves much higher, and Mike Smith has made some unbelievable one on one saves this year.
Carey Price should be further down than Smith right now.

King Henrik is deservedly at the top of this list.
Is he the best right now?
If not, he is very close to the best.
But as I have said in the past about Marty Brodeur, Hank now has a system in front of him that helps him.
But as the penalty shot stop at the end of the Winter Classic showed him at his determined best,
perhaps he is #1 right now!
