Anyone who has played the game knows this was a dangerous and dirty play. Three games for sure.

Also, Ference has had several incidents in the past. He just wasn’t suspended for them. The shoulder to an unsuspecting Jeff Halperns head last year was particularily dirty. Not to mention the middle finger last year (He called it accidental).

No malice here. He obviously wasn’t trying to put his team down a major in OT, and he seemed [stupidly] unaware of the force he was bringing to the contact after skating full-steam for 180 feet. Stupid (very) but no intention to injure. Hope McD is okay — I though he broke his neck when I saw this play live.
