When the pens were battling the state politicians for a new arena the door the teams used to enter the ice popped open a few times. I alway thought it was a ploy to make the civic arena look bad.

I initially though it was a double-wide swinging door. But after further analysis, that wouldn’t have worked either because then the door merely would’ve fit two Jamie McGinns instead of one. Clearly, that doesn’t equal a Zamboni…so now I just blame Sportsnet for labeling the video wrong.

Moral of the story: I am infallible.

I’m infinitely amused by the initial assumption of the door’s function, and the implication that Jamie McGinn is roughly the same size as your average Zamboni.
