Oh I agree but NHL standing are bunched up, as usual. The Blues, for example, are 27-12-6. The Caps are 25-18-2. 4 loser points and 2W’s vs L’s are the difference. Not much over 45 games.

If I just showed you those records and said what do you think, Most would say, eh, about the same.

Love how Hendricks went for the fight, but he isnt a true NHL fighter. Thats why he lost. But the Caps hit Bourque all night with every chance they could and he was useless. Thats more significant than a fight, a dominating win with just 17 SOGs.

1st in the Southeast isn’t saying much. They’d be no better than 3rd in any other division and 4th in many.

Caps are winning games by burying an absurdly high percent of an absurdly small number of chances. I think they had 17 SOG 17!!!

That means they still have the finishing skill. They just need more chances… and its back to 09-10 again.

They are already now in 1st in the SE.

as a long time B’s fan who’s endured the ups and downs, let me say to the Toronto and Ottawa fans that is great see the B’s on top with Leafs nipping at their heels and Sens lurking close behind. It’s looking to be a great stretch with some great rivals! lots of respect for those teams and their fans.
@habsman its also sweet to see the habs in the basement looking sad and lost. face it, you can cry about the B’s all you want, but your team is small, impotant and irrelevent this year and so are you. Start acting like you repsresent a storied franchise instead of like a whiny little bitch.

Hendricks should have taken his helmet off to force Bourque to do the same. Instead, he fights Bourque without a visor, while Bourque is wearing a visor.

No surprise Bourque wouldn’t take his visor off.
