Case in point, the Atlanta Thrashers. Picked 1st overall, 2nd overall, 1st overall, 2nd overall, 8th overall, 10th overall from 1999 to 2004 – by 2007 they were back picking inside the top 3, then again in 2009 they had the 4th overall pick!

That’s not to do with fan turn out, sponsors, having a hockey city – that’s bad management!

There is more of the Thrashers in Columbus than there is Oilers; but I might say the same of Edmonton as well!
