I would really like to keep Brodz but only if the price is right and for a 3 year deal max...but the idea of selling him to a team that needs a PK specialist and a center that can score goals at opportune times for a cup run, could be too much not to say yes to... I am not sure what his value is draft pick wise but it would at least have to be 2 2nd rounders in my eyes.... Harding is a goner, I just don't see how you keep him and with how much play he has been getting of late, I believe they are trying to showcase him for trade bait. I hope they don't trade Hackett or Kuemper as one should be our starting goalie in 2 years after Backs's contract expires.... Like you said and how I put earlier, season is over and in no way do I see it possible to even compete with Koivu not in the lineup, this will get ugly and the best thing to do is to make some trades so player moral doesn't go bonkers

Yes, Risebrough set this franchise back by not hitting on a first round pick in five years. Also how about letting Gabroik, Rolston, and Demitra (RIP) go and get absolutely nothing in return for them either. That is how you ruin a franchise, by letting your franchise player (Gaborik) go for nothing. No reason why he shouldn't have been traded right out of training camp his last year here. Risebrough knew he was injury prone, and not moving him cost him his job.

And I agree no reason to give up assets for Parise when you can get him for nothing in the off season. If they are to make a move, it has to be for a puck moving defenseman who has a couple years or more left his contract. You'd have to give up either Hackett, Harding, or Kuemper.

Only thing I see wrong (because I say it is) is you have to trade Brodziak before the deadline because he is a UFA after the season. I don't think they are going to resign him, and I don't see a playoff run coming. Espically with Koivu out a month. We saw last March and earlier this year, this team completely falls apart without him in the line up. Time to be sellers not buyers. It's gonna be a sellers market.

This team needs to be sellers, not buyers. The future looks bright, let's add more ammo to the assests that we have in the future. That is how your able to pull off trades for big names, espically in the future when Granlund and company join the Wild. Being able to add another piece to those prospects during the season when they are clicking just adds to how great this team is going to be,

Top 5 pick, here we come.... as for Parise, you would have to be the biggest moron to think that we would trade for him midseason with an injured roster that wouldn't make the playoffs with or without him... AND when we can get him for free in the offseason free agency... stay the course, cuild thru the draft, keep all prospects including Coyle / Granlund / Brodin / Zucker / Phillips / Gustafson (if spelt correctly) / trade everyone else not name Setoguchi / Brodziak / Koivu / maybe a few others... this team will get a clean slate in 2013-14 when all of those players come off the books! Can't wait! Stay at it Fletcher, you are doing a great job, even tho it's hard to tell... former GM Doug R. set this team back 7 years when he failed to hit on one first round pick in the last 5 years or so !!!!
