So all of the bloggers here bashing Carrick have first hand knowledge of the conditons of Crosby and the other patients he’s seen? You have actual patient history and data of the physical exam of each patient? Physical history and patient information on treatment and protocols? Of course not…So how in the WORLD can you speculate on the treatment and outcomes of these patients? Absurd is being kind…Oh and by the way…Check out Olympic Gold Medalist Dara Torres’ recent comments on Twitter praising Dr. Carrick for curing her vestibular problems…Oh wait that would be a placebo effect again, right? Ridulous how threatened people seem to be of this man and his work…

Haha i like “I am education” when you are talking about your degree. What’s your degree in? chiropractic? so it’s not a medical degree is it?

care to point out any of the “flaws” you mention in Dr. Novella’s article?

and your quote from Mr Gordon is such a classic case of “post hoc ergo propter hoc” logical fallicy…not to mention that I dont believe Crosby is recovering quickly at all, in fact he is doing terribly, so what is Gordon talking about?

1) I did read the article and there are some flaws in it.

3)After you read it, there is one important line in the article “Even medical professionals such as neurologist Kevin Gordon acknowledge that Crosby’s recent progress has been promising. “You’re dealing with a remarkable case report that says this holistic approach with multiple interventions has made somebody with a severe concussion improve on a time course which would seem remarkable compared to how they were recovering before”

4) PS my degree says I am education in the subject.

I’ll say it Crosbys done.He cannot shake these concussion symptoms and forget hockey he very well could be risking his life if he continues to play.Hes an excellent player but after a full year of symptoms something’s not right.

And BTW, a one-minute Google search of the Carrick guy confirms exactly what I thought – a chiropractor by any other name is still just a chiropractor. I can’t believe a wealthy athlete buys in to this stuff. Why not just go to a Board Certified neurologist MD if the problem is that severe?
