As a true Caps fan i blogged 2 years ago in the hopes the Caps traded Green. The return they would have gotten when he was scoring would have far outweighed his last 2 seasons production. Offensive numbers way down, but even with his defense shored up some, he still makes plenty of mistakes and has serious injury problems. Hard to trade him now and the Caps lost out. I do like Orlav though. He has looked pretty good in Greens absence.

Again
In week 2 of the season I trade Phaneuf for Green, he had that 2 goal 2 assist game vs the Red Wings, and look at me now.
Sigh

Mike Green is the softest player in the history of hockey!! Good offensively for a D man but bad at D! He's a soft forward playing D and I can't wait until he is shipped outta DC!

I'm beginning to wonder if he and Andrei Markov are just the same person using masks and switching accents from time to time. Lord knows they don't have the worry of being seen on the ice at the same time, considering how often they actually play hockey.
