Oy vey. When Edmonton failed to cash in on their run in '06, they blew up and restarted. At this point, the rebuild's STARTING, albeit only just, to pay dividends. And let's put this into context - it was a very long-term rebuild. Calgary, meanwhile, came up short two years prior, kept trying to force another run out of a rapidly declining team, and is now well on its way to missing three straight postseasons with absolutely jack shit to show for it in prospects or draft picks. At least Edmonton sucking out loud came with the positive message that they got two #1 overall draft picks for the trouble. Calgary's just got a bunch of old men who look tired, demoralized and completely devoid of any expectation of seeing the Cup in Flames jerseys. I'd say "Now's the time to blow up the roster," but it's not. The time to blow up the roster was two years ago at least. =/
