Well, his first goal was on a line with Simmonds… And the goal you’re talking about came on a power play and JVR literally just came on the ice after a partial line change… But that’s not really the point.. Not a big deal, obviously. But Laviolette made it a point at practice to give the nod to Read.. Who said he thought Laviolette “had made a spelling mistake”.

JVR didn’t replace him on the first line.. Matt Read did.. JVR was originally slated to jump up but Laviolette went with Read instead.
