Jury-rigged is a slightly different term, meaning it was made by the materials on hand. Jerry-rigged is a quick fix, and this case I would lean towards jerry-rigged.

2) A shotski is made with a ski. This would be a shotstick or keeping with the hockey theme, we can go with Slapshot.
