and so they should … I’ll forever have that final back in May of ’74 etched in my memory, when Parent backstopped the Flyers to victory over Bobby Orr and the heavily favored Bruins … I hated the Flyers then like many others, but there could be no denying of Parent’s greatness … he was a terrific goaltender and he played with true style …

ps: in an unrelated story, the “Sisters” and company were soundly crushed 4-1 tonight by the excellent and highly rejuvenated Los Angeles Kings … during the course of the game, several sisters were summarily knocked to the ice by physically superior LA players … and overpaid “Michelin Man” Luongo was again completely undeserving of his US $110,000.00 appearance fee (ie: 9 million divided by 82 games) …
