Stalberg pointed out something I feel Quick is weak on, actually. He lets rebounds out more easily than quite a few goalies I can think of. The Kings are good at covering this, and when you combine that with the fact that he doesn’t appear to be anything less than great at EVERYTHING ELSE, he looks spectacular. Buuuut… well, you have to wonder if he’d look that great on a team whose skaters haven’t had a couple years’ experience covering that gap.

I’m not saying he’s a bad goalie. Anything but, believe me. He’s superb. But I think that’s a hole that teams could exploit in a playoff series if they made a deep run. Then again… well, they’ve got scoring to worry about before that, don’t they? This was a good game. They need more like this.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … Jonathan Quick is “good people” … and if the offense can finally get going, then watch out ! … I believe there’s every reason to think that the Kings can challenge for the Western Conference Championship this year …

This kid is a star. I knew after watching an entire season of this kid carry the horrible UMass hockey team to their first NCAA tournament that he was something special.
