Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia definitely had video of the incident on their broadcast last night. Basically Hartnell was standing near the Lightning bench during a timeout and their coach was not very pleased about it. Hartnell then proceeded to get sticks coming at him from Downie and Malone, with Malone actually coming off of the bench to initiate contact with Hartnell. Hartnell started swinging back at Downie and Malone to defend himself. Supposedly under the NHL rules, players on the bench are not allowed to make contact with a player on the ice and are definitely not allowed to come off the bench to initiate contact.
