The Capitals will be fine,if you watched the Rangers game tonight you know what there capable of.The players love the new system and the Caps players know it’s going to take a little bit more time. Hunter got a team that was a mess and he will turn them around and there is trades coming so have faith!!

It was time for Bruce to go,the team stopped listening to him.He never held anybody accountable for there mistakes on the ice and when he tried it was too late!!

There really seems to be a lack of leadership at the center of this team. They have a great collection of talent, but seemingly no heart and no fight – it’s as if they have the highest of expectations, but if something goes slightly wrong, they droop their heads and just give up. With that attitude, good luck getting those points.

Definitely not over for this team. They’re only a few points out of a playoff spot now. Weak division, talented players. At worst, I think they’ll sneak in as a lower seed and get knocked out in the first round. At best, they win the division (very plausible) and get the #3 seed and make a run.

I don’t think it’s too late- we’ve seen so much scoring potential out of the Caps in past years, and that first two lines are still there, still able to do the job- if they decide to. I’m not sure what needs to be done to motivate them past what has been done already (trading Semin would be a good start), but if something does kick them into gear, there’s no reason this team can’t go on a late season tear. Their goaltending and defense haven’t been great, but as we saw in 2009, it’s okay to let in four goals a night if you score six a night.

Question is, will that kick in the butt happen? And will it happen in time to save the season? Or is this going to just end up being a battle with the Kings for the title of Most Disappointing NHL Team this season?

The Capitals just aren’t a very good hockey team. They are lucky that they play in a crappy division where points are always available. They could easily wind up being the #3 seed. Thankfully, that BS ends next year after reallignment.

I don’t get how, all of the sudden, the Rangers are now the best team in the East. What have they done to surpass the Bruins (other than have one more point having played one more game)?

This team is hopeless, I truly believe this team will not make the playoffs. Being said it will be only a few looses away from old Ted second guessing the early termination of Fat Bruce.
