If you really want to play that game I’d have to mention the fact Lupul is lighting it up this year. But I don’t want to get in to such a petty argument with a guy who thinks his bottom-feeding team that has yet to win a Cup is actually good.

Staying healthy doesn’t count for much when your GAA is north of 3.00 and you can’t put up a half-decent SV%. Goalie wins are a lot like pitcher wins in that they are meaningless to describe the individual worth of a goalie. Raycroft holds the Leafs single-season wins record. Case in point.

Playing above your heads can just be a sign of a couple players getting hot at the same time. I don’t know how one lucky half-season is enough to make you believe your team is well run from the top down. Maybe the voices in your head told you it’s the truth because nobody else would be so illogical. When you end up in the bottom 3 at season’s end you’ll realize the meaning of the word ‘fluke.’

Last time I checked the Sens have made one Cup final, have never beaten the Leafs in a playoffs series even though Krusty the Clown guaranteed they would, and have never won anything of value ever. They probably never will.

Spezza has more points than michalek, so that gives the sens two good players by your standards. Karlsson has more points than any d-man, so let’s call that three. Anderson has more wins than any leaf goalie, so I’ll take that (being able to stay injury-free does count, too, you know). And absolutely, the sens do belong in the basement this year…they’re playing above their heads which is a sign of great management and team leadership. So they’re fun to watch because they give their fans more…unlike the leafs who have been disappointing since when…1960-something?

I love your comments. They make me laugh and reaffirm every belief I hold about Sens fans. You used that ‘one good player line’ two months ago but he’s now second in both points and goals. You don’t do that by only putting up points in blowouts. If you want to talk about a team only having one good player why don’t you talk about your own team? Without Michalek the Sens would be nowhere near a playoff spot and you know it.

I’ve yet to see anything positive done by Brian Murray. Who has he brought in? Andersen? Gonchar? They’re useless. If I had to call Craig Anderson my starting goalie I would find a new team to cheer for. Murray’s doing a worse job as your GM than he did as your coach and that’s really saying something. Burke has done more for the Leafs with a lot less to work with than him.

You have a Merry Christmas yourself, maybe your gift will be Mu-mu-mustache et. al. bringing you one more win before you start your slide to the basement of the Eastern Conference where you belong.

Three years into the rebuild and they’re barely clinging to a playoff spot. Lousy PK and lousy PP. I’m sure every team in the east would love them to extend Wilson.

Almost halfway through the season and the Leafs are in the thick of things in the East. Kessel’s a close second in both points and goals. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that collapse bud.

Burke did not hire Wilson. Wilson was hired by interm GM Cliff Fletcher in June 2008. Burke took the GM/Pres job Nov same year. The sword of Damacles has been hanging over Wilson’s head ever since.

Having a .500 record with the teams he’s had is not exactly bad, but it’s not worth an extension either. If they make the playoffs this year that might change things.
