I’m liking the Wings as a candidate, too, but yeah, Hawks-Bruins would be awesome. Pretty much the best collection of young stars in the game facing off in that battle. It would be amazing.

CNN BREAKING NEWS !

tommygun1997 and friends … this afternoon at our store, I talked with a customer who was apparently the “only” person here in Canucks Nation to have held the Stanley Cup back on June 15th of this year ! … this guy owned some digital “multi-media” techno company (ie: it’s all Martian to me) and they had passes to the Bruins locker room “post-game” along with only two other Vancouver-based media outlets … this guy said that Tim Thomas was a great guy and the “real deal” etc … he also said that the Bruins left straight from GM Place for the Westin Bayshore Hotel to collect their things and then bolted for the airport … this guy said that despite he being a Canucks fan himself, the highlight for him was a photo-op of he and Tim Thomas holding the Stanley Cup together … it was a very interesting conversation for me …

No kidding. Bobby’s pure, undiluted star power combined with no shortage of extremely talented players all over the ice being still further amplified by his baffling, superhuman level of play resulted in a team almost impossible to beat.

Now? Well, it would be a nice story if Chara were that guy for this team, but we all know who it really is – Tim Thomas. With his near-invincibility in net, the rest of the team, skilled enough to begin with, plays inspired hockey. They have pretty much nothing to worry about. They never have to wonder if it’ll all implode on a goal off a bad giveaway. The reason they’re flying out there is because they’re not under pressure to watch their backs. Thomas has ‘em.

Agree. Not since Bobby O. used to skate rings around the rest of the NHL. Never seen a Bruins team this packed with talent up and down the lineup. Seems like someone produces every night.

In the 34 years I have been following the Bruins, I can’t recall another time when they played this well. 20-2-1 in their last 23.

Six in a row now and they have outscored their opposition 30-7. Fourteen different players picked up points last night. I. Am. In. Awe.
