Okay. How do you figure that? The NHL is worth billions. Losing Crosby or Ovi would hurt ratings, and thus make a visible impact on the NHL’s bottom line, and it would certainly hurt their teams’ respective incomes, but this is taking their value as players to an extreme that can only be described as “completely insane.” Neither of them is even remotely close to valuable enough to send the NHL as a whole into an “unstoppable tailspin.”
