Americans are the only normal people? Where do you get that idea? F is a better scale for everyday temp since there are more degrees in the scale. No need for decimals.

This is a silly, throwaway post just meant to generate some excitement for the Classic, since nobody knows what the weather will be in two weeks. Don't take it so seriously.

As much as elite types try to force us otherwise, we use the F scale here in America. I like the F'in scale, so do most normal people. Further, it's a more useful and appropriate measure of temperature for everyday life. I don't use the F scale to measure the heat of a chemical reaction. That would be silly. And it's just as silly to use C to measure the temperature in my backyard. Silly, snooty elites.

Now, as for the accuracy of the 14-day forecast ... I can give you one for Southern California in the summer time. Morning fog by the coast, sunny in the 80's in the afternoon. Zero chance of precip with low humidity. OK, that's a 90-day forecast. For the East Coast - anything beyond a few days is a joke. Utterly non-scientific.

Hell, the best hurricane forecasters in the world just gave up making yearly predictions because they concluded (in a moment of rare honesty) that it was useless.

Lets just say the weather couldn't be any worse than that cold, rain last year.
