Why would he do that? He has a guaranteed contract for the next 10 years. That would rule out a buyout, and no one else would ever think of taking that contract. They are stuck with each other.

I believe RDP has been hurt a lot longer than anyone is letting on. His first two starts–against SJS & WIN–his stats were decent. After that, they nose dive. Isles should shut him down for the season and he and his agent should have a heart to heart with Wang and Snow in the off season. Both he and the NYI need to turn the page.

I mean he’s under contract for plenty of time for a medical advancement to occur but I’d rather he just stay hurt as a fan of the team
