mojo & Tomohawk arr clueless. it's not the NHH! it's the NHL The Caps can't trade him, he signed till 2013 or 2014. I say let Semin walk his ass back to Russia, ( where he seems to want to be) don't even pay for his dam flight. He takes too many stupid ass penalties as he always has done since he signed here. does that make you think why GM GM only keeps signing him to a 1 year contract? look for GMGM to be trading him at the trade deadline. As for Ovi, let him get Hunter's system down and you see him rebound. I don't think Ovi cost Gabby his job, but we'll never know bout that unless it comes out publicly, which as of now it hasn't. Ovi called Bruce on Tuesday, ( the day after he was fired, which I disagreed with and Bruce made a call to 1067 the fandc radio on Wed. on his way to the airport to see see his mom. Well, that was short, he got the news that night to fly out to
CA to become the head coach of the ducks. On another not with Green the Caps are 8-0 so in my opinion, to much is being placed on Ovi and Gabby. So all of you haters start posting

Thanks for making my point Mojo...OV cost Budreau his job...He may not even be one of the top 5 players in the Eastern Conference....Actually, trading him would give them the money to get some players who really want to play....I'll bet you will find he is dragging the whole team down. One or two good years in a career does not make a superstar....and I'm clueless??

Tomahawk you are clueless. The Caps are one of those organizations that never quite get it right. If is a black hole that stars enter and die. Trade AO and see what happens. The man is one of the top 5 players in the NHH.

agreed. 50+ goals is nice and the guy can flat out fly. not a lot of guys can electricute an arena like he can. that being said, he is not a god and he is not the best hockey player in the world. the media created this monster and the caps faithful fed it. as the years are passing ovechkin seems more and more burdened with it...unless something changes, that 13 year monstrosity of a contract wont help the situation for player or ownership either in the coming years

The Washington Capitals and fans gave OV the Great 8 and best player in the game today labels. And the last time I looked, OV relishes these given tags. So, it is up to him to produce and show that the labels are warranted. Sorry, but I have never seen him warrant the best player in the game tag. He is an above average player when he wants to be, but that's about it.
