Obviously losses to Boston count, but most people don’t expect them to win those games and haven’t for years. Those alone are nothing to get concerned about.They’ve lost 10 of 16 mostly because they were starting an AHL-quality goalie for a month. Before the back-to-back losses against the B’s they had won 4 of 7

They played an awesome game against NYR and were pretty worn out the next day against the Devils but still salvaged a point. There’s nothing to be concerned about unless, you’re right, they play an ugly game against the Canes tonight. Can’t see that happening unless they’re on the penalty kill the whole night though

Also, losses to Boston still count in the standings. The Leafs have won only six of their last 16 games. A loss to Carolina tonight would be concerning.

The Leafs are 6th, not 12th, in their conference. They’re 3 points from 12th but only 4 points from 2nd and the lead in their division. They’ve lost 3 of their last 4, but one was against Boston and another was an OTL in which they gained a point. in other words, nothing to get too concerned about. When you read stuff like this it’s really easy to understand why Wilson and Burke are so condescending towards the Toronto sports media. This Mirtle guy obviously can’t tell his a$$ from a hole in the ground
