After watching Kaberle all year here in Carolina, I can tell you that he was a huge liability anytime he was on the ice. This game had nothing else to do other than pride since Spacek played so well last night, he didn't want to get shown up. If Montreal keeps him as a 5-6 D man and utilizes him only on PP, he may not be that much of a liability. As a Habs fan as well, I would like to see both team benefit from this trade but I still feel Carolina got the better deal. Time will tell.......

So he's capable of playing at a high level, he just wasn't motivated in Boston or Carolina. So it would seem.

Isn't a fat paycheck motivation enough? Don't you feel guilty cashing it when you know your not delivering what you promised? Ok, back to the real world - they're just like everyone else. Of course he doesn't give a damn.

Look for Kaberle to return to his lackluster form very soon. Which is great for us in Boston, since we play the Habs so often.

Kaberle has always been a pp quarterback specialist. He is a huge liabilty five on five but this trade is good for montreal. Remember this is a special teams league now!! If he sticks to the power play and then sits for the rest of the game the Canadians will win their share of games.
