This Saturday, following the Sharks-Blues game on CSN California, San Jose defenseman Brent Burns will star in the debut episode of Everyday Jobs.

What everyday job did Burns take on? What else — a zookeeper.

That Burns seems super stoked to be working at the San Francisco Zoo shouldn’t come as a surprise. His love of animals was the subject of a 2008 Hockey Night in Canada piece, spotlighting the virtual zoo in his Minnesota home:

    Love me some Burns!!! Miss him as a Wild fan (even tho I love the trade) and I hope he is turning into a fan fav in Cali.
