Craig L. has got to be the worst “color” guy in hockey. I think Craig L. actually believes the show is about him (he sure talks about himself enough) and not what’s happening on the ice. Talk about an ego. It is so AWFUL listening to this guy and so distracting from the game, I have to turn the sound off and turn on the radio feed. This bozo really needs to be replaced before he completely ruins Joe B’s broadcast of the Caps. Even the “color” guy in Pittsburgh is better, and he downright sucks.

That said, I would sure love to have Doc do all the Caps broadcasts. Congrats to you Doc. This honor is well deserved. Please keep on doing what you do. You are one of the very best.

Yes he can run out of breath and go on a tangent but he always has excitement in his voice whenever a good chance happens regardless of the team… But I’ll never forget one of his lines (unfortunately I forgot the game although I know Detroit was one of the teams) on a failed clearing attempt. “and here’s lidstrom trying to clear it out (puck kept in the zone, bounces right back to him) but much like Ohio state in a national championship game he’ll get another shot at it.”
