Last year of his contract, underachiever, and worth a good amount. The Caps traded away key second liners like Fleishman and Steckel, and didn’t get anything in return other then rented players for a half season. I just hope when we do trade Semin, we get something we use for years to come.

It never seems to translate into him becoming a two way player, which is frustrating to me as a fan. Can’t imagine how frustrating it may be as a coach.
