Giroux makes everyone on his team better. if you look at the players he has played on a line with this season it is easy to see that he is the MVP. Jagr and JVR both started the year really well playing with Giroux until Hartnell moved up into JVR's spot and he completely caught fire and JVR went cold. Then when Jagr went down JVR moved onto that line for the rest of the game and scored 2 goals. Then matt read played on that line for a night and scored 2 goals. Then Voracek played on that line for a night and scored a goal and 2 assists. Everyone plays better with Claude Giroux. Kessel's got Lupul playing almost equally as well on his own line. Kessel has been great but Giroux has been spectacular.

As a Flyers fan, I have to say he is the MVP of the league right now. As mentioned earlier, the fact that there is no longer Richards or Carter plus the injuries of Pronger. But also, the guy is the cornerstone of the power play and is on the ice for over 2:30 (average) for PK. Then add the point total and where the Flyers are in the standings. While Kessel has been amazing also, what Giroux is doing so far is very special and could land him some hardware in the end.
