We’re talking about a guy who won the Stanley Cup looking like some sort of magnificent goaltending lumberjack and solved a turnover that left a Sedin in the clear by sallying forth and delivering a leaping bodycheck to him. Tim Thomas is out of his freaking mind and it’s glorious to behold.

I know he leaves himself (and B’s) succeptible to rebounds off boards, but he cuts down angles so well and just has such a nose for the puck, especially on one-timers and deflections. But seriously, lets hope this play is continuing in the late Winter and Spring. Whole team too, not just Timmy. But man they look so systematic and methodical right now.

The weird style he plays, the focus he has… reminds me a lot of Hasek, but not as loopy upstairs- and with a bit of a mean streak.

I just hope this is the way he’s playing for the season, and that he’s not getting all the good stuff out of the way early- I want this kind of play in April and May!
